Anna Christian was 16 years old when she signed Bess’s book in 1893. In 1895, Anna was living in Banner Township in Beadle County, right over the county line from Osceola.

Bert Christian, Anna’s brother, also signed the book.

Birl Kirby has yet to be discovered.

Laura Koster was a neighbor of the Tyrrells and the Nelings in Foster Township, Beadle County.
